How this is done properly

Flat concrete is one of the few surfaces on a house that can genuinely take pressure, and it is usually done with a surface cleaner rather than a wand — a wand leaves the zebra striping you see on half the driveways on the island. Around a pool the sequence matters more than the pressure: run-off and cleaner have to be kept out of the water, which means knowing where the deck drains before starting.
